Hi I'm Tom

I grew up in California, I have lived in five states and two foreign countries and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have been married 47 years. We have three daughters and five grandchildren. While I am now retired, I spent the majority of my working years in sales and marketing for Fortune 100 medical product organizations. The latter part of my career was in training and development of employees. I have always loved water sports and worked my way through college as a swimming instructor and lifeguard. Now that I am retired, I am now able to devote more time to my great love of family history. I am writing a combined life story of my parents. They passed away many years ago, and I have been collecting information on their lives and letters from their family and friends to include in the final publication. Currently, I am serving a Church Mission with my wife in New York.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a Mormon and the peace and joy it brings to me and my life. I was fortunate to serve as a full-time missionary when I was in my college years and it was wonderful to meet and serve people of another country and culture - in my case the South American country of Chile. Having had the great opportunity to meet other people in many places has only added to my testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ and His love and concern for each individual. Serving another mission now with my wife adds depth to my love for serving others and sharing my testimony of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is a daily and most welcome and enjoyable adventure. There are so very many ways to serve both in a church assignment and in my community. I teach classes and help to administer and minister addressing the needs and challenges of many. In serving others, I find great blessings in my own life and the little daily miracles that are so evident around me, all from my Heavenly Father and his Son, Jesus Christ.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Tom
God is the source of all truth. He loves you and wants to answer your questions. He will help you recognize the truth as you sincerely seek it and ask Him for guidance. You can know that what you’ve been learning is true (see James 1:5-6; Book of Mormon, Moroni 10:4-5). Show more Show less
