Hi I'm Beckie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Mormon who enjoys being outside. I am very sporty and went to college to play volleyball. It was one of the best experiences of my life. I learned a lot about myself and my faith. It helped me prepare for the future by teaching me that I really do have a testimony all my own and not just from my parents.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it gives me a better life. The knowledge that I have obtained through scripture study and personal inquiry of my own values helps determine right from wrong. I know that there are a lot of evil things in the world and being part of the church gives me the strength to live around them and stay strong. Life looks like it could be easier if I chose not to follow my faith but I don't think it would be worth it. I love my family and am so grateful for the knowledge that we can be together for all of eternity. I have lost both my younger brother and my father in this life and i can not wait to be reunited with them in the next.

How I live my faith

There seems to be so many things going on all at once and it can be difficult to find the time that I need to finish things around the house. With my two children needing a lot of attention I have really had to make the time for myself. I try to serve my neighbors and friends at least once a week by watching their children. I played the piano for the young children to sing in church and it can bring a feeling a peace and love into any room. Hearing those young ones sing songs about Christ can touch my heart even when I have not had the best day. I try to make everywhere I go a better place. If it is as simple as picking up trash around where I was then that is what I'll do.
