Hi I'm Annette

Hi I was raised in Enoch Utah! I now live in Raleigh North Carolina as a full time missionary, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Mom of 8 1 daughter and 7 sons. I now have 1 son-in-law and 6 daughters in-law with 18 grandchildren. I love music and teach piano lessons. I enjoy being outdoors, especially in the mountains or at the beach. I enjoy taking pictures but I not very good at that. I enjoy walking and time with my friends. My best friend is my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents that are faithful members of the Church, who taught me well, mostly by example to love the Lord and to serve others. I learned though them I needed a testimony of my own. That has come in bits and pieces through serving a full time mission before I got married. And by following my parents example of serving others. I have supported 6 out of 7 sons in serving a full time mission and our 7th son is serve a mission in Australia. I told someone once that I had to know the Church was true or I could not let my sons go so far away for 2 years to be missionaries. I am serving a full time mission with my eternal companion. I have also learned that my testimony does not grow if I am sitting idle, I must practice it's teachings daily to keep my testimony growing. I have learned that it is when the Lord calls me to serve outside of my comfort zone, I experience the most growth in my life. I know Joseph Smith was called of God to restore his church to the earth once more. I know Jesus Christ is my Savior, that he died and was resurrected for me. I know we are led by modern day prophets that teach us what our Heavenly Father whats us to do. I know I am a Child of God.

How I live my faith

I have worked with little children most of my life, through teaching them in classes on Sunday, working with them during the week in different activities and by volunteering at my own children's Elementary school. I really enjoyed when my children were younger helping in the class room and getting to know their teachers better. I am currently working with the Youth ages 12-13 in our church. We have a class on Sunday and fun, educational and spiritual activities during the week. I really never wanted to work with the youth but I am truly loving it and growing and learning from them. I have also loved using my musical talent (mostly singing and playing the Organ and Piano) at church. Once a teacher had me come in and teach a music lesson once or twice a month to your school class. I really enjoyed that. I had the opportunity to work at a girls camp as a cook for a few years than as the head cook. That was a great way to enjoy the mountains and be with lots of fun girls. I learned a lot doing this a now serving a crowd a nice meal does not scare me. Serving others whether in the church or the community gives me great happiness.
