Hi I'm Katie

I'm a pianist. I'm a student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full time student at a local community college, majoring in elementary education. I am the third of four kids (technically I'm tied for second because I a twin).... You could call me a nerd (but don't) because I love math and reading. I also love playing the piano and going to the movie theaters. I believe that life is too short, so you need to make your time here memorable.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the church. Over the years, I have realized that when I would go to church, there was a different atmosphere. There have been many moments that the truth of this gospel have hit me, but usually it was during a musical number during church. It almost seemed like I was the only one in the chapel as the song was being played. I think that is half the reason I love playing the piano. When I play a spiritual song, the magnificence of the piece hits me in my heart. All in all, I know that I am a child of God. I know that He knows who I am, and that He loves me unconditionally. I know Jesus Christ is my Savior, and that He died for me and all of my sins. I know that there are living prophets who receive revelations in the world today. I know that I can return back to my Heavenly Father, and Jesus Christ again someday.

How I live my faith

At church, I teach the two to three year olds. It is so amazing watching them grow and understand gospel principles. I think that the best way to live my faith is to be myself. Other people know that I am different, they can see it by the way I act, speak, dress, and interact. I think that by being myself, others will want to know about why i am different.
