Hi I'm Roman

I am 20 years old, i'm from a small country in south America called Uruguay and i'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in a small town in Arizona. I graduated from high school in 2010. i'm currently not going to school but i'm planning on it later in the future. I became a member of the church in 2006, it was a great experience becoming a member of the church. I accepted to take the lessons with the missionaries and before i realized it i became baptized in the church. I am the only one in my family that's a member, but i plan to go back to Uruguay and teach them the Gospel myself, or at least invite them to come to church with me. I have amazing friends and church leaders who help me and guide me through life and i'm very thankful for them. I love the church, i love the people in it and our leaders who guide us through Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a member about 5 years ago. i wasn't very much interested in the church or in religion at all. All i knew was that i had been baptized when i was a baby. but that was about it. Until one day i met the elders, they were downstairs of the apartments i lived in. they introduced themselves and asked me what religion i was. I replied "none, i don't believe in anything". just because i didn't know what to say. As soon as i said that the elders said "hmmmm, may we come by your house sometime?" i said yes. at that point , they had me. i took the lessons and shortly became baptized. after two years of being a member, we moved to another town, and i became inactive. Life changed. i been back in the church for year now and it feels great, i have a gain a tremendous testimony in the church and in the Book Of Mormon. No matter where i go i can feel the spirit with me, even at times when i don't think its there. i know it is. I can feel the spirit at church, when i'm with my friends, pretty much everywhere, and its an amazing feeling. The Church has changed my entire life and perspective, living by the standards had brought many blessings to my life. I share this with you in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I go to Young Single Adult branch, which basically is, all the young singles over the age of 18 gather together and worship in as whole. there are other services for families. I like attending to activities we have, such as dances, pool parties, etc.. but i also enjoy going to lessons with the missionaries when i have free time. I also go to Institute, which is a class where we learn more about the teachings of Christ so we can apply it to our lives and feel the spirit more, not only on Sunday, but whenever we get a chance. I am uncharged of the Church clean up that we have every other month. i'm also a Branch missionary, which basically, what i do there, is contact those members who we haven't seen in a while and extend a helping hand them in case they need it.
