Hi I'm Bri

I'm a sophomore in high school. I'm my school's class treasurer and on the varsity tennis team. I'm a Mormon!(:

About Me

Being a sophomore in high school, life is always really crazy and busy! I am involved in a lot of activities such as being on the varsity tennis team at school, as well as being the class of 2014 treasurer. I also am involved in acting and singing, so I am often having rehearsals. Not to mention I am busy just being a teenager! You can find me... hanging out with my friends, texting, listening to music, playing the piano, talking about boys, shopping, spending lots of time with my family, working on school assignments, going to football games on friday nights, sleeping in whenever possible... I am definitely the typical teenager! My life is crazy, but it's so full too, which is how I like it! I'm sure there are many other teenagers out there who can relate...! I love my insane life! (:

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? The real question is why wouldn't I be a Mormon? Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has been the blessing that has got me through all of the hard and stressful times in my life so far. I know it will continue to do so as well. I think a big thing to point out is how much I love my standards, and how that is another major part of why I'm Mormon. I get comments all the time about how difficult it must be to be a Mormon because it's so 'strict'. I love living these so called 'strict' standards, not only are they God's commandments, but they literally keep your life as happy as possible. For everything God commands us to do, there is obviously a reason. Having high moral standards is one of my favorite parts of being a Mormon. I'm a Mormon because I know this gospel is true. The overwhelming spirit has witnessed to me the truth and I cannot and will not deny it. For others out there looking for the truth, and for those wondering if our church is true, do everything in your power to find the answer. Read the scriptures, study and ponder them. Live like Christ. Most of all pray. Pray to have the reassurance that everything about the church is true. I went through this and I found the answer. I know for a fact that others can too if they truly devote themselves to finding out the honest truth. This is why I'm a Mormon. Because I know the way I am living is going to allow me to live with my Heavenly Father and brother Jesus Christ once again. (:

How I live my faith

I participate immensely in the youth program in our church. Not only do we meet as youth on Sunday, but we also have youth group once a week. Once a month, we have youth dances as well! I love being around youth of my faith, but I also love it because it gives us a chance to invite others not of our faith to come and join in the fun. Specifically, I have had callings where my duty is to help organize some of the events listed above, but also to make sure everyone involved feels loved and included. We try very hard in the church to make sure everyone feels welcomed and loved at activities. I really enjoy making others feel important and wanted, because everyone on this earth is! I love our church for the position it takes on making sure everyone knows they are children of God and loved greatly.
