Hi I'm Kali Jo

A country girl from Idaho, married to my best friend, currently living in Arizona going to Pharmacy school, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up living the country life by raising pigs, cattle, and horses. My parents taught me the true meaning of work by moving pipe in the alfalfa/hay that we grew for our animals and sold as well. I have always enjoyed playing athletics. I was fortunate to play Women's College Basketball, which taught me great discipline in working hard for what you want to achieve. I was super lucky to find the love of my life and we were sealed for Time and All Eternity in the Idaho Falls, Idaho temple. It was the best day of my life! My husband and I love the outdoors. Some of our hobbies are cross country running, mountain biking, basketball, and picnics. There is just something about being outside and admiring this beautiful creation that our Heavenly Father has made for us to enjoy.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that has been LDS for as long as I know. I have felt so blessed to be able to have this amazing truth, light, and happiness in my life since I was very little. My parents gave me the choice to become baptized. It was my decision at age 8 to say if I wanted to become a member. That was the first best decision I have ever made. My life has definitely not been made easier because I am Mormon, but there has always been a true guiding hand in protecting and leading my life to be the best I can be. Whenever I have felt lost or lonely, I always know that my Heavenly Father was watching over me, I was never alone. This known fact in my life has helped my testimony grow everyday. I choose to live the standards of the LDS church. I know that it betters my life. Without the gospel I do not know where I would be to this day.

How I live my faith

The biggest part of living my faith is by living it every day by myself and as a couple. My husband and I are fortunate in being able to serve in our ward. I have been so lucky to be able to teach the young children in our ward every Sunday and be a cub scout leader. Their bright hope and growing testimonies remind me everyday of how lucky I am to have the gospel in my life. Since I am in Pharmacy school I have the great opportunity to live my faith everyday by being a example to my friends I have made in class. I feel I am able to show them how great life can be and even though times are hard, there is always something to be thankful for. Just being a friend to them and giving them hope in their life helps me to live my faith.
