Hi I'm Lindsay

I grew up in Arvada, Colorado. I'm a dental assistant 2 days a week, but I'm a Mom full time! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Most important to me in this world are my children and husband. I've been married since 1999, and my husband and I have two kiddo's. Our daughter was born first, and then our son joined us 3.5 years later! I love to spend time outdoors with my family. I still haven't mastered camping with kids, (it's SO much work!!) but I think it's fun to practice once in a while! I love traveling. There's a goal in our house to visit every single National Park in the US. So far we've been to 6 of them- we have a long way to go! I spend 2 days each week working outside of my home as a dental assistant. Helping people with their dental health is a very positive way for me to spend my time away from home. I love my life!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. My family attended church each week, and we were very active in all weekday activities. My parents divorced when I was 18 years old, and at that time in my life, my testimony of the Church and its gospel was small. I had always leaned on the testimonies of my parents, and had not taken the time I needed to establish my own solid beliefs. Over that next year of my life, I took some time to ponder for myself the things I had always been taught. I am so very thankful to my Father in Heaven for allowing me this time. I knew in my heart that the gospel was true... but I needed this time to strengthen myself. Over the last 10+ years since then, my faith has grown immensely. I can now say with conviction that I know that this is the true Church of Jesus Christ. I know that we have a prophet that leads and guides us, and speaks with Jesus Christ. He is the mouthpiece for our Lord, and Savior. I believe that God speaks to us now, just as he did long ago. I believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. It sits right next to my Bible, right where it belongs... they go hand in hand, and support one another. I am thankful for my Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ. I know that only through Him, may we return to live with our Heavenly Father. He suffered and died for all of us. I know that he was resurrected, and then returned to live with our Father above. I know that he will visit us again. I am so thankful to have this gospel in my life. It enriches my home, and strengthens my family. I love Jesus Christ. I love my family, and I look forward to an eternity with them.

How I live my faith

Each week after our Sacrament Meeting Service, we break into smaller Sunday School classes. I have the great responsibility to help in teaching the sweet little 4-5 year old children's class! I love how pure the questions are that come from these children; and also how much knowledge they already have at such a young age! Over the years I have moved around a bit in my teaching... I have also taught the 8-10 year old children, and even teenagers! I try to be a good friend and neighbor to those who live or work near me. I strive to be Christlike with everyone I meet.
