Hi I'm Cassi

I was born and raised in Washington. I'm working toward my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I'm a wife and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Washington. My husband is my best friend. We were married in December of 2008. We grew up down the street from each other. We both enjoy cooking and love being in the kitchen. I am currently studying to be an elementary school teacher. Better late than never! We bought our house in 2010 and are enjoy remodeling it to make it our home. We never thought when we were married that we would have any difficulty getting pregnant. We thought that would be the easy part! I don't want to say, "after years of struggling with infertility..." because we still are. Many years and many, MANY treatments later, we are still trying. I have faith that God will give us this blessing in his due time, but I also know that it will require an IVF (or many) to get that blessing. It's the hardest trial I have ever had to go through, but I know Heavenly Father loves me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert. I was baptized just before my 16th birthday. I love this gospel more than anything. I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. I strive to be more like him everyday. I find comfort in the scriptures because they are true. They answer my prayers. I have a testimony of the power of prayer. This gospel binds families together for all of eternity. What comfort that brings me! I love my family! The gospel of Jesus Christ is the center of my life and I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

It's easy to live my faith when things are going good, but I also choose to live my faith when things are difficult as well. I have always had the blessing of having faith and being optimistic. The only time I have ever questioned my faith was when we found out that it would be difficult to get pregnant. Infertility is something I never thought I would experience. We still are going down this road, but I have allowed it to be a blessing rather than a trial. It's not easy, even now, but I do have peace. Every trial brings me closer to my Heavenly Father and that makes the blessings sweeter.
