Hi I'm Davis

I am a student, an outdoor enthusiast, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love love love the outdoors! I can't say that enough. I often feel the need to drop everything and go spend time out in nature. I am an avid backpacker, kayaker, and camper. I also love any sort of competition including 5ks, sports, or even debates! I am a student at Brigham Young University and I am currently in the Business Management major. Later on in life I would like to have a career in international business. I thoroughly enjoy traveling and have spent some time backpacking in South America. Hopefully I will be able to have a career that enables me to continue traveling.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the way that I feel when I learn of the doctrines of the LDS Church, and when I apply those doctrines in my life. I have had the privilege many times in my life to feel God's love for me and to feel of his approval with what I am doing. I have a very strong testimony that God calls prophets in this day and age just like He did in Bible times. I know that Thomas S. Monson, the current President of the Church, is a prophet of God, and that he receives revelation for the Church. I know that the Book of Mormon is a true book and that all the events recorded in it really happened. I know that it was translated by the power of God through the prophet Joseph Smith. This is the only church on the face of the Earth that has the full Gospel of Jesus Christ, and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church every Sunday. It is three hours long, which may seem like a lot but it is such a privilege for me to be able to do! I love serving the members of my congregation who are all students just like me. I do this in an official capacity as the president of the men in my congregation.

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

No the Church does not endorse political parties. The Church respects all people's ability to make choices and decide for themselves who to support political parties. All major political parties have ideals that are in conjunction with principles of the Gospel. However, the Church does encourage all members and people everywhere to vote and be a part of the political process wherever possible. The Church encourages all members to respect the laws of the land and to fulfill all of their political duties and obligations including voting. Show more Show less
