Hi I'm Paul

I'm a Mormon. I'm a husband, a father, a grand-father. I'm a runner - 8 Boston Marathons, 5 Pikes Peak Marathons.

About Me

As noted above I'm a Texas runner. First marathon - age 50. Over 60 marathons completed. After a two year break from intense running I have returned to a moderate running program, feels good. Also adding some biking and core body work. Mostly I am a family man always interested and hopeful for the best for my wife, children and grand-children and my running friends. Still working a full time job in the electronics industry, fortunately I enjoy my work and the great people that I work with around the world. I believe life is a great journey, and I remind myself how important it is to appreciate and find some joy and laughter in every day. I also believe that our happiness and our situation in life is primarily a result of our willingness to take ownereship and accountability of every day. Two of my favorite quotes follow: "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off your bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." - Mark Twain "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." 1 Corinthians 2:9

Why I am a Mormon

To be honest, I am very happy that I was born into the LDS faith. There are times that I have wondered if I had not been born into the Church, would I have the faith and courage to seek the gospel truths that are found in Christ's true Church. Fortunately I do have a testimony of the truth of the restoration of Christ's true church. I hope I can provide the kind of example that I should to my family and friends. To become Christ-like is a life time journey that will extend into eternity for me. I am hopeful that through Christ's atoning sacrafice that I can spend the eternities with my family and friends.

How I live my faith

Wow, through my life I have had the privilege of working in many callings. My quick list includes the following. Sunday School Teacher, Assistant Scout Master, Scout Master, District Camping Chairman, Instructor, Quorum Counselor, Quorum President, Primary Teacher, Ward Missionary Committee Chairman, Quorum Secretary, Home Teacher.
