Hi I'm Rachel

I'm a wife to my most handsome man ever. I love to squish my three little adorable children. I love to laugh, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 6 1/2 years. I am a mother to three wonderful and spunky children, ages 5,3, and 7 months. I get to play with them all day and it is the best job ever! I absolutely love being a mother and having a family of my own. I graduated in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology from Brigham Young University. I went on to get certified in Orofacial Myology. I am currently a stay-at-home mom and feel so blessed to be home with my little ones all day. I love to work out with my friends at 5:30 am, do sprint triathalons, read good books, go on bike rides with my family, ski, have dance parties in our living room, blog and turn it into yearly books, fulfill my present calling as ward missionary, eat homemade mint oreo shakes, and be happy!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My parents have always shown me a good example of living their faith and raising us according to gospel standards and values. My testimony grew from living the gospel and learning more about it's teachings. When I went off to college I was on my own and it was up to me alone to make the choice to continue going to church and living the values I had been taught growing up. It was never a question for me, I knew this church was true and it was where my heart belonged, and continues to belong 100%. It is who I am and has made me the woman I am today. I would be lost without the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. The blessings that come from my membership in this church have included being able to be married for eternity, not just till death, to my amazing husband in the temple, becoming a mother and having the help and guidance to raise our children in a world with shifting values and morals, keeping my body healthy and pure by withstanding things that could harm it, having the desire and support to press forward always in trying to be like my Savior Jesus Christ, and overall happiness and finding joy in the small details of life. I know without any doubt in my mind that this church is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing the simple things each day that bring me closer to my Savior Jesus Christ. That is who I want to emulate my life after. That is who I want to be like. That is who I want my children to want to be like. It is my responsibility as a mother to raise these children in righteousness and for them to KNOW that they are children of a loving Heavenly Father who knows them personally, loves them deeply and wants desperately for them to return to live with Him after this life. I live my faith by teaching these precious little ones at any opportunity I can who their Savior Jesus Christ is and why we want to be like Him, where they came from, why we are here, and that this life is not the end. We get to be a family forever if we make those good choices together. That is my deepest desire in this life. The best way to teach my children is being that example for them. I can't expect them to be something if I'm not it first. If I love to go to church (which I do!), they will (and they do!). If I love the scriptures and to pray, they will. If I keep the commandments and follow the prophet, they will too. If I love my Heavenly Father and his Son Jesus Christ, they will too. That doesn't mean we don't make mistakes, because we do, but we keep trying and continuing on. That is how I live my faith and it is the greatest blessing and joy in my life. I love being a member of this church. It is true.
