Hi I'm Wendy

I am a stay at home mom with four kids and I love to fish. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of four beautiful children. I grew up as a Southern California girl. I worked as a restaurant manager up until about 3 years ago when I decided that it was better for me to stay home when my oldest went to Junior High. Being at home for my kids is the best decision I have ever made. I love to work at their schools and volunteer in the community. I love to go deep sea fishing and love to run. I have ran 2 half marathons and 1 full. I plan to run another marathon and a ragnar relay next year.

Why I am a Mormon

Most of my life I had spent searching for the missing piece to my puzzle. There was always an emptiness I felt and I knew that if I searched hard enough that I would find it. The first time I walked into a Mormon church, I knew that I had found what I had been looking for. The Gospel of Jesus Christ changed me forever. To know that a Father in Heaven loves me and has a way to get back to him has made all the difference. To know where I have been and where I am going in this mortal life changed my attitude toward the choices I have made.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living the teachings of the gospel. I strive everyday to serve those around me and try to uplift those I come in contact with. I love being a visiting teacher. It allows me to go into homes of women who share the same faith and get to know them better. It also allows me to find ways to serve them. I am also a Humanitarian specialist. I organize events that help those in the community by setting up a clothing exchange which allows families to pick out clothing for the upcoming school year. I also organize an effort to feed the Men's homeless shelter.
