Hi I'm Maria

I am an Arizona native, a wife of 10+ years, a stay-at-home mommy of two wild boys, and I'm a mormon.

About Me

After my husband and I got married, we both wanted to start a family immediately but were unable to get pregnant. This was very hard because I knew that it was a righteous desire to want children. At times I wondered if God had forgotten about me, or if he was punishing me for something. Finally after 2 years of praying hard for a baby... I became pregnant! When I was almost five months along, my husband and I went to get an ultrasound. We were so excited to find out if we would be getting a boy or a girl. We were devastated and heartbroken when the doctor informed us that our baby had anencephaly (a fatal illness where she did not develop a brain). About a week later, I delivered our still born baby girl. Less than a year after our loss (and much to my surprise) I became pregnant again, and this time my dreams of becoming a Mother finally came true!!! God blessed us with a healthy son. Then after another long wait (six years), we were blessed with baby boy #2. So, we currently have two boys ages 7 and 1. I LOVE being a Mother and am continuing to learn patience and trust in the plan that God has for me! I have a variety of interests which include camping, digital scrapbooking, baking, couponing, family history, and making crafts.

Why I am a Mormon

I love my family and want to live with them eternally! This is the main reason that I'm a Mormon. The gospel plan provides a way for us to be able to be together forever. I'm so grateful for Jesus Christ and his infinite atonement and resurrection which allows this to happen.

How I live my faith

Praying and reading the scriptures each day gives me strength to make correct choices. I am then able to serve others and let my light shine.
