Hi I'm Becky

I'm a wife, a stay at home mom, a part-time student, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints my entire life. I have been married eleven years. I am a mother to four loud and healthy kids who keep me very busy, and I am also a part time student working toward earning my Bachelors Degree in English.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I know it's doctrines to be true. I have studied them, pondered and prayed and have received a witness from the Holy Ghost confirming that it is the truth. In my youth, I believed that if I lived my life righteously and did my best to be a good person and follow the Savior, I might be exempt from trials. I have since learned that trials, both large and small, are a part of the Saviors plan because it gives me the option to turn my heart over to Him and allow Him to help me overcome whatever obstacles are in my path. Trials are painful and no one wants to endure them, but there are some things that can only be learned by going through something hard. I find so much joy and hope in the Gospel of Christ. Everyday I feel His hand guiding me in my life and the love He has for me-His daughter. I am thankful for prayer. It is so amazing to know I can pray to my Heavenly Father anytime and anywhere, and He will hear me. My prayers are a direct line of communication between myself and Deity. Prayer gives me the strength to go beyond what I think is possible and with His help, I know I can accomplish anything.

How I live my faith

I have been blessed to work in a variety of organizations in the church. I have worked with the women, the youth, and am currently serving as a leader of the children. I love teaching the children the stories of the scriptures and the teachings of our living Prophet, Thomas S. Monson and his Apostles. Children have such innocent faith and their example makes me want to be a better person every day. The children teach me the way to truly follow Christ. They are so humble and accepting of each other and they have the gift of seeing others through the eyes of Christ. I love working with the children and learning from them every week. This year we have focused our learning on knowing for ourselves that the Scriptures Are True. Every year the children give a special program in church filled with doctrine and music they have learned through out the year and this year I have had the opportunity to write it, with the help and counsel of the other leaders of the children. Each child has a part to say or a special musical number to participate in and they can share with the entire congregation the testimony they have gained over the course of the year. I am truly blessed to be a part of such a wonderful organization.
