Hi I'm Jennifer

I am a mother of 3 boys and 1 girl. I'm a Mormon. I like to read, walk, make Christmas gifts, and am awed by nature's beauty.

About Me

While attending College, I met my husband and majored in Family Science. I enjoy spending time with him and each of our four children. The time I spend with them is precious and valuable to me. After having our first child, I learned quickly an important lesson that helps ground me when the trials come and life can be hectic and unbalanced--EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED AND HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOR. Also in College, I was reminded of the importance of taking time to "smell the roses". I enjoy special moments with my children, taking time to set aside less important things momentarily to embrace and cherish spontaneous occurrences that happen each day with them. The love and joy I feel as I bond with them individually and recognize their unique gifts and talents is incredible! Sharing life's experiences with my husband and raising our family in the gospel of Jesus Christ is wonderful!

Why I am a Mormon

As a small child, I remember where I was sitting in my family's home when I decided I wanted to follow Heavenly Father and choose the right. Over the years I have embraced opportunities to feel the Spirit in my life from attending firesides, attending seminary and church colleges, "Time Out For Women", watching and listening to General Conference, reading wholesome books, listening to good music, and serving as an LDS Missionary. Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I have learned that it is through the Holy Ghost that Heavenly Father reveals truth. I value the personal relationship I have with Heavenly Father. I know he loves me and knows me individually. I have witnessed the Lord's tender mercies in my own life regularly for which I am very grateful. I am grateful that I have come to know for myself through prayer that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true and that we have a living Prophet on the Earth today, President Thomas S. Monson. Being able to teach correct principles and values to my children is important to me. Sharing with them my testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel is such a blessing and being able to feel the Spirit in our home is a joy. As our family has read scriptures together, prayed together, held FHE weekly, reviewed the Strength of the Youth pamphlet, attended church regularly, taken vacations together, served each other and others, we have grown closer together.

How I live my faith

A personal experience of President Thomas S. Monson's shared some time ago of his learning the importance of following the Holy Ghost has inspired me to do the same that as the promptings come to go and do, that I will go and do. My life has been blessed and enriched as I have listened to and followed the promptings I have received from Heavenly Father. I have felt incredible joy as I have sought ways to serve, give of my time, and share the talents with which the Lord has blessed me. This scripture comes to mind, "...when ye are in the service of your fellow beings, ye are only in the service of your God" (Mosiah 2:17). I have a testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ and very much enjoy sharing the gospel with others. I strive to be a good example and desire others to be able to feel the Savior's love in their lives as I have in my own.
