Hi I'm Marybeth

I sing. I'm in marching band. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a high school student. I play clarinet in the concert and marching bands. I love science and art. I love to sing. My friends say I'm weird, nerdy, and sweet. I'm not the most popular person in the world, but I love my life. I tend to be shy until I know someone very well. Once I do, I'll talk for ever. I plan to go to college, marry in the temple, and have a couple kids. I'm not extremely coordinated or physically fit, but I get good grades in school. I'm a fast learner and love to gain and share new knowledge.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the church. I love the church and the standards it has. They have helped me out of many situations. I know this church is true. I know the Book of Mormon and the Bible are both true. I know that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon so that we could use it in these Latter-days as a road map to our salvation. I know that President Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet. I know Jesus died for us so that we may live with Heavenly Father again. I know that the Holy Ghost is always with us and will comfort and guide us through life's trials. I know Heavenly Father loves me and wants to see me succeed. I stay with this church because of this and how much it helps me reach my earthly and eternal goals.

How I live my faith

In my ward, I am the secretary in the "Miamaid" presidency, or the secretary for the group of young women 14-16. It doesn't seem like a big deal, but it is important for someone to take notes during meetings, pass on information, and keep everything organized. As for the community, my school's marching band is involved in the community. I participate through that and by being a student. I try my best to participate as much as I can and to do the best that I can when I do things.
