Hi I'm Eric

I'm a medical student and love to surf. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband, a father of four, and a reservist in the US Navy. I grew up in southern California where I developed a love of the ocean and a passion for surfing.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a teenager and reading the Book of Mormon for the first time, I was intrigued by the last sentence of the third paragraph in the introduction, which reads: "It puts forth the doctrines of the gospel, outlines the plan of salvation, and tells men what they must do to gain peace in this life and eternal salvation in the life to come." As I have read the Book of Mormon, and applied its teachings in my life, I have found peace. The Book of Mormon has helped strengthen my faith in Jesus Christ, giving me a sure hope that I can gain eternal salvation in the life to come, if I remain true and faithful to my gospel covenants.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to follow the example that Jesus Christ has set for me. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I have had many opportunities to serve others. I served a two year mission in Hong Kong, taught early morning seminary to high school students, and have served in a variety of other callings. In turn, I have been the recipient of much service from many of my fellow church members and leaders. Throughout these experiences, I have seen the love of God manifest, which has served to strengthen my faith and testimony in the gospel.
