Hi I'm Dayton

I am a native Arizonan. I go to High School. I love to slalom ski. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have grown up in hot, sunny Arizona all my life. I am the oldest of seven kids and fourteen years old. I enjoy running, hanging out with friends, and going to the lake. At the lake I love to slalom ski and tube intensely. At school I am in all honors and like to participate in school sports. My favorite type of food is Italian and is obviously everyone else’s favorite since it is amazing! I’ve been to about ten different states and think that traveling is awesome.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because my parents are, to some extent, so you could say that they introduced the gospel to me. In my life today I choose to keep my religion as a Mormon because it has helped me beyond measure. My fellow church members make it a happy place to be and I love the love and peace that is felt while in this church. I have not been to many other church meetings but the people that I have met from them have been nice, but the spirit that is felt around my church members is so much stronger. I’m sure that without my Church I would be a lost soul among the world. As in Jesus’ parable of the lost sheep I feel that I would probably be that one at some point. But He can help anyone as long as they are willing to except His help. Without Christ in our lives it would be a rough ride. Just with the Mormon Church we are able to have Christ fully in our lives due to the Priesthood that has been restored to this day. I am a Mormon because it is the only way to stay truly righteous.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in small ways each day by reading my scriptures each morning and praying both day and night at least. I show others that I care what they think, just as Jesus did, by listening to what they have to say and then trying to offer some helpful advice. I don’t laugh at inappropriate jokes and make my dress and appearance not at extremes. Though all of these things are good probably the most important thing that I do to live my faith is to perform my Priesthood duties. All of the things listed above are in a way linked to these duties. I serve others at every chance I get which is basically what the Priesthood means. I hope that through these actions people know that I’m a Mormon.
