Hi I'm Taylor

I'm a journalist, I'm sports fan, I'm a comic book nerd, I'm a husband, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a journalist hoping to one day host my own radio talk show. I love doing anything sports related and watching every kind of sport out there. I'm also a bit of a closet nerd. I love comics and superheroes, and get giddy every time a new comic movie comes out. Finally, I'm a big fan of music. I play a little guitar, but I love every kind of music from classical to hard rock and even a little rap. I'm married to the most wonderful woman ever. Jamie and I are both originally from Colorado, but we meant while going to school at BYU. We've been married for over a year now and she has been the best thing to happen to me. We actually moved to Phoenix two days after we got married to start our new lives together. Currently, could go to grad school at Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism. I graduate in December 2011 and I hope to get a job working here in Phoenix. My wife teaches 4th grade, and is in the middle of teaching her second year.

Why I am a Mormon

Many people think that I am a Mormon simply because I was born in to it. That couldn't be further from the truth. I'm a Mormon because of what having the church in my life has done for me. My dad died when I was 16 and my mom died when I was 21. Without the knowledge that I can be with my family again, I wouldn't have made it this far. Having that piece of mind has done wonders for me. Look, all you have to do is read the Book of Mormon and pray about and you'll know it's true. If you do that with a spirit truly willing to seek God's will, than you will know it. Once you experience that, then everything else will fall into place. No one understands everything about the gospel right away. Shoot, no one fully understands it period. That's where faith comes in. Many times, we must make a movement in a certain direction to find out what lays on that path. Once we move along that path, we then find out all those things we had wondered about.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by just trying to be the best I can be. I know I'm not perfect, but I'm trying. All I can say is that I'm better than I was yesterday.
