Hi I'm Keith

I live in Arizona. I own a Pest Control Business. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a beautiful wife and 2 children who I love more than anything else in the world. I like sports, food, and the simple joys of life. I graduated from ASU and started a pest control business in 2012. I served a mission in Fukuoka, Japan for 2 years and loved cherish that experience every day.

Why I am a Mormon

I never doubted the things I had been taught in this church. However, there came a time when I was about 15 that I really wanted to know for myself if what I had believed was really true. I sincerely read the Book of Mormon for the purpose of determining if the book really could be from God. I sincerely prayed to Heavenly Father to know if the book was true, and if this church was true. I will never forget the feeling I got that confirmed my beliefs and the truth of the Book of Mormon with no more room for doubt. This means that God still speaks to us today- through a living prophet and through the Holy Ghost, and that all of this is made possible through Jesus Christ, of whom the Book of Mormon and the Bible testify. In Japan, I met many good people- who had otherwise felt they had everything they needed- yet agreed to hear what I had to say about Jesus Christ and His church. As they accepted and tested out the challenges we gave to them to follow Christ, they felt closer to God, and felt deep down that the Atonement of Jesus Christ had helped them become better individuals. That was the most satisfying feeling to see miracles in people’s lives as a result of the gospel of Jesus Christ. This church has taught me why I'm here (the purpose of life), and where we go after this life. There is a special ordinance in this church which often gets overlooked by other religions: receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost. After being baptized by water, I received the gift of the Holy Ghost- which essentially means that as long as I am living right, God can communicate with me through ideas in my mind and feelings in my heart to guide me through this life. It’s not magic. It’s real, small and simple guidance from God- confirming certain decisions or warning me of things I should avoid. With God’s power with me in my life, I have been able to do things in my life that I never could have done by myself.

How I live my faith

As a volunteer in my church, I have the responsibility of teaching other teachers how to teach. I’m not perfect, nobody is- but that’s the beauty of going to church! We aren’t expected to be perfect, we just try our best. I learn as I go and hope that others are inspired by what I’ve been taught by the prophet and other leaders of the church. More importantly, I try to act as if the Savior stood beside me. When I go to school, I hear all kinds of complaints about teachers, assignments, and other things that are difficult in daily life. The easy thing to do is complain along with the crowd, but my faith has taught me to see the good in life and I do my best to keep a positive attitude towards the little things that are difficult or annoying because I know that’s what Jesus would do. Yes, there are problems in life that need to be acknowledged, but it’s the way we tackle them that is the real test in life. My faith in Jesus Christ helps me through this life and I know that He is there to carry my burdens and sorrows; He is there with me in my joys and accomplishments.
