Hi I'm Jessica

I'm an athlete, a high school student, a creative mind and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a swimmer, a runner, and a soccer player. I have 2 brothers and 1 sister. They are my best friends. We can find a way to laugh at anything. I am a student in high school and love going to sporting events, pep assemblies, and church dances. I enjoy learning and knowing things big words are fun for me to learn and currently my favorite word is jocularity, meaning the love of jokes and laughter. I love to create be it music, a picture, or just making up a funny story. I find joy in making others laugh and seeing people smile.

Why I am a Mormon

I was lucky enough to be born in to a family who loves me and supports me in everything that I do. I have a long line of ancestors who have been strong members in the gospel. I love being a member and going to church. I have a testimony that when we make good choices and do things that bring us closer to God we will be happier and the people around us will be too. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament Jesus Christ and that it is true. Prayer is so powerful. If we take time everyday just to talk to our Heavenly Father he will listen to us, he will help us get through our trials and give us strength to keep going. I know this church is true and that Heavenly Father and Jesus love every one of us.

How I live my faith

There is no way to choose when you live your faith and when you do not. Every single one of our actions is a representation of what believe and who we are. Participating in positive uplifting activities is how I choose to live my faith. I attend a church class during school to help me keep the spirit with me throughout the day. I regularly attend youth night once a week where we serve others, build our testimonies, and prepare ourselves for the future as sons and daughters of God. On Saturdays I enjoy going to youth dances where the music and dancing is appropriate and the environment is fun. Being so involved in many school and community activities gives me an opportunity to share my beliefs with teammates, group members and any other youth and adults I associate with.

What is being a Mormon like?

Jessica
Being a Mormon is one of the greatest things ever! I have been so extremely blessed by being a member. I have met some of the most amazing people who have strengthened me as a person because of their example of how they live their life. Mormons love to serve. Service brings us closer to one another as well as closer to our Heavenly Father. Families are another big part of our lives. We believe that families can be together forever and honestly who wouldn't want that your family loves you and is there for you so what would be better then being with them through all eternity?!
