Hi I'm Mariah

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 21 years old. I am hearing impaired as a result of Bacterial Menigitis when I was 1, so I wear two hearing aids. I love reading, baking, and hanging out with my family. I am a pretty quiet person, but once I open up I can get kind of loud. I am currently serving a mission in the Colorado Denver North Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church, but I have continued to attend this church because I have found the truth of it. It was when I was attending Seminary, which is an early morning gospel class during the 4 years of high school, when I truly received my testimony. It was during these 4 years when I put forth the effort to truly understand the gospel. I read The Book of Mormon for the first time on my own during this time. When I got to Moroni's promise in Moroni 10: 3-5, which is to ponder and pray to ask if it is true and that by the power of the Holy Ghost you will know the truth, I knelt down by my bed and did this. I received the overwhelming feeling of peace and knew that it was true. I had always believed it to be true and had a small testimony, but getting the reassurance was just what I needed to truly know that it is the truth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith daily, it is what my life revolves around. It's by little things, being an active member of my ward and just being an example to those around me. I am currently serving a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, here in the Colorado Denver North Mission. Everyday I go out and teach the Gospel to those who want to hear this message. I continue to just be a good example and share my love and knowledge of the Gospel to everyone.
