Hi I'm Brigit

I go to high school. I have hopes and dreams for the future. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my family. I have an older stepsister and five little brothers- they all mean the world to me. I'm a junior in high school, and this year is proving to be the hardest. I do my best in school, but my favorite classes are the ones where I am able to workout. I love being fit and trying new things. I am in Track and Field and have a blast running. At home, when I'm not doing homework, I'm either playing the piano, reading, or hanging out with friends. I can't wait to get my driver's liscense and finally be free from relying on my parents! Hopefully, I can get a job soon- keep those fingers crossed! Something about me... is that I am very creative. I am a pro doodler and I love to write. Twenty years from now I hope to see myself as a mother, an author, and living life to it's fullest!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but that doesn't mean that life was always easy or that I always believed it to be true. When I was about 11 years old, my family moved to another city. It's enough to say that I understand what it's like to be alone, to feel like you have no friends, and to wake up everyday with hopes only to have them crash when you lie back down to bed the next night. That experience changed my life and forced me to turn to the only person who understood what i was going through: my Heavenly Father. I learned that he is ALWAYS there. He loves me, he knows what I dream about, he wants me to succeed in everything I do. Extrordinary as that is, for there are 6 billion other people in the world, I know that it is true. I have felt the peace of the Holy Ghost and have seen His hand in my life. I am truly blessed to know that I am a Daughter of Heavenly Father; a princess. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ is the true church. I have a testimony of that. I know that Christ lived and that through him and by following Him, we can live forever eternally. Moreover, I know that our families can be together forever. I know these things to be true. That is why I am a Morman.

How I live my faith

I participate in the Young Women's program that The Church has set up for the Youth. On Sundays, there is a class that we attend, and then on Wednesdays we again meet to do something together. The activities that we do range from game nights to service projects to ice blocking. :) I believe in the blessings that it brings and have seen it change lives. True friends have been brought together through these programs. I attend the normal, average high school. Each day, I try to live it to the fullest, trying to endure to the end- especially those Mondays. Across the school there is a Seminary where others of my same faith attend during all hours of the day. There, questions are answered and we are able to better understand the scriptures that we have been given as guidance. The weird language that they speak in those books, which we are told is somehow the same language that we now speak, becomes easier to understand through the classes there. I would encourage everyone, even if you aren't interested in reading the scriptures, to check out their local Seminary. Teachers and students there would love to have visitors and to answer any questions. Hours spent in those classes are full of fun and inspiration- they are really what help me get through each day.
