Hi I'm Jessica

I'm an imperfect woman, wife and mother. But I love my life. I'm a Mormon...just doin' my best!

About Me

Once upon a time, there was a woman who loved to dream. And what she wanted most in the world was to get all kinds of degrees and make a difference in the world. She wanted to help people and change lives and be a part of something big. But then she met a wonderful man, and her plans began to change. Suddenly she was a wife. And then a mother. And then a mother again, and again. And with each passing year, she moved further and further from her big dreams of changing the world. But she quickly realized that the best difference she can make in this world is right within the walls of her own home. She is the devoted wife of a man she adores, the mother of three kids that teach her daily the true meaning of patience, and the woman who believes her life has a plan (even if she can't always see it). I am that woman. And I am happy for a Heavenly Father who knows what's best for me!!.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a wonderful Mormon family that took me to church every Sunday, and signed me up for seminary each year. But it just wasn't enough. By the time I was 16, I was living the good life. I had everything a teenager would want....but I realized that I still wasn't happy. I faked it well, but I knew that something was missing. So, I decided to give the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints a try...a whole-hearted effort. I began reading The Book of Mormon, paying attention in church, and I stopped finding reasons to miss seminary. It didn't take long before I started to see a difference in my life. I felt happy- truly, genuinely happy. It didn't mean that life was perfect, or that things weren't hard sometimes. But I felt peace knowing that I was a part of something greater. That I was a beloved daughter of a Heavenly Father that knew my weaknesses, and my struggles, and my heartaches...and that He was there. He was ALWAYS there to reach out a hand and lift me up when I needed it most. I am a Mormon because I know that the happiness the world offers IS NOT ENOUGH! I am a Mormon because I know that I have a Heavenly Father who knows and loves me! I am a Mormon because I know that He wants me to be truly happy, and He has restored His gospel to show us the way. His plan is a Plan of Happiness- of that I am sure!

How I live my faith

How do I live my faith? Imperfectly! But that doesn't stop me from trying each and every day to do the best that I can. To simply try harder to be better. To be more consistent in my obedience. To be more compassionate to those I meet. I be more patient with the ones I love (and the ones I don't love). To try just a little more each day to be the woman that I hope to someday become. Not perfect. But maybe just a little bit closer...or at least heading in the right direction!

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Jessica
Oh, I don't just believe it....I thank Heavenly Father every day for such a wonderful gift. A prophet in these modern times is like a compass in an increasingly turbulent world. He is there to help give us the guidance and direction that we need in order to navigate the pathways of a world filled with darkness...to help bring us back home safely to a Father in Heaven that loves us and is awaiting our return with open arms. How blessed we are to have a prophet in our world today!!! Show more Show less
