About Me

I grew up without religion, married my wife who attended church. Our son discovered the Mormon Church and later we joined. It is the best thing we have ever done. The Gospel plan gives you a plan to live by which can't be beat. It is a good clean life but a full life. It tells us why we are here in this life , where we came from and where we are going. We became a member of a huge family of brothers and sisters who really care about each other with love and compassion.

Why I am a Mormon

We are Christians The Book of Mormon was published and started a terrible religious battle across the country of the eastern United States. Joseph Smith, his family and the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints were persecuted terribly in Missouri for many years and driven from one place to another until they finally settled in Nauvoo Illinois and established a beautiful city and were flourishing and the persecution started again because they together formed a large force and hate and they were driven out of Illinois to Salt Lake City Utah. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ translated from plates by The Prophet Joseph Smith and it is true. We do not believe in what other Churches call the Trinity that all three of the Godhead is one being. We believe, as the New Testament states, that God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost are three separate beings with the Holy Ghost as a Personage of Spirit. We do not use the Cross as the emblem on our Churches because the cross is an emblem of the death of Christ and we believe in a living Christ and a living God as our Father in Heaven. We believe that after we are baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints that hands can be laid on one’s head by one holding the authority and The Gift of the Holy Ghost can be given to them to be a constant companion for the rest of their righteous life. The one thing which sets us apart from all other Churches is the Aaronic and Melchizedek Priesthood. These Priesthoods are the authority to act in the name of God and must be present and functional whenever the kingdom of God is on the earth in its fullness. The Priesthood must follow the line of authority from Jesus Christ. Only a person who has this line of authority can ordain another person to the Priesthood. A male person must be baptized, confirmed a member of the Church, reach the proper age for either the Aaronic or Melchizedek Priesthood and be worthy.

How I live my faith

I attend Church every Sunday and attend all of my meetings and try my best to fulfill all of my responsibilities. I belive in God the Eternal Father and in My Savior Jesus Christ. I have held many callings in Church positions and always do my best to learn all of the responsibilities of those callings and do them to the best of my abilities. I attend the Temple as often as I can and do my duties toward my family responsibilities as well as my deceased relatives. We have Home Teaching responsibilities and the women in the Church have visiting teaching responsibilities and each month we make certain these brothers and sisters are taken care of with their needs fulfilled. I am honest in my dealings with my fellowman and live the golden rule of "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." We have five grandsons and two great grand daughter and we feel they are part of our responsibility and do what ever is necessary to help them in their lives and education as well as our Son and Daughter-in-law.
