Hi I'm Jeff

I'm a Husband. I'm a Father. I'm a runner. I'm a businessman. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Being a Husband and Father bring me the most joy in life. My wife and I both served missions in Europe during our college-age years. Serving others, including our children, allow us to experience an abundance of blessings. Our family loves to talk, sing, dance, run, read, travel and serve others . Whether we are supporting each other during a running event or serving in our community, we love being together. My international business career has provided many opportunities to experience different countries and cultures while providing for my family. When my son decided to raise funds to help rescue citizens of Haiti following the devastating earthquake our family joined him and members of our community in the noble effort. As a result we experienced inexpressable joy and peace. This is something I want to share with my family forever...joy and peace.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in California and Virgina provided me the opportunity to observe many members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in action. I experienced being the beneficiary of service by humble followers of Christ. I attended church with all types of good people...from tradesmen to US Congressmen. I observed them all come unto Christ daily as they acted in faith and integrity in an effort to lose theirselves in the service of others...and in the service of Jesus Christ. As I attempted to follow their examples, I began to experience pure joy and happiness. As I studied the teachings of Jesus Christ in the New Testament and the Book of Mormon, my heart swelled with gratitude for my Savior and Redeemer...and for those who follow him. Putting those teachings in practice in my own life has allowed me to feel the love Jesus Christ offers me. For this, I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Attempting to put others needs before my own is how I try to live my faith. This is rarely easy, yet always worth the effort. No matter how much I try to show my love to Heavenly Father through service I find He always blesses me more than I can express. The joy of serving with my family is greater than any other form of happiness I've experienced. Even pulling weeds can be meaningful if it is benefitting someone else. Serving with children is especially meaningful. We lived in Mexico for three years. While residing there my wife and I watched our daughter befriend and serve an elderly lady. This was very touching and meaningful for all who observed this simple attempt to lift another by a pure hearted child. The gospel of Jesus Christ is simply beautiful...especially when service to others is practiced.

What do Mormons believe about "eternal life?"

Jeff
We believe that we can be together forever with our family and loved ones. We believe that we are children of Heavenly Father, and He wants us to return and live with Him throughout eternity. We believe that through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, everyone will receive the gift of eternal life. We also believe that only through Jesus Christ we will be able to live in God's presence and continue as families. This is especially meaningful to me as I've experienced the loss of a brother and loved ones as they have passed from this life to the next. Show more Show less
