Hi I'm Jason

I'm a father of four. I'm married to a wonderful woman. I'm a CFP. I'm an Arizona State University Sun Devil fan. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a CFP in Gilbert, AZ. I have four wonderful children. I am happily married to my wife Angela. I enjoy coaching their sports and am an assistant scout master in The Boy Scouts of America. I enjoy outdoor activities like fishing, hunting, hiking, camping and most sports. I am a fan of Arizona State where I graduated with a degree in finance. I am also a fan of all Arizona pro sport teams. I enjoy traveling with my wife to various financial conventions around the world. I have many friends around the country that I have met through the companies I work with. We often talk religion and I admire the devotion many of them give to their respective faiths. I served a mormon mission in Tokyo Japan and came to greatly admire the Japanese people. My favorite food is Japanese food, and although it is known for being healthy, I gained 26 pounds while I was there through sheer volume. I enjoy family gatherings and love spending time with my parents, brother and sisters and their families as well as my in-laws whenever possible.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a mormon has helped me to understand why I am on this earth. Earth life feels like a long journey, but I suspect that someday it will seem like the blink of an eye. I struggle with my mistakes every day and often feel discouraged, but it is wonderful to know that I have a savior who died for my sins and loves me. I know that if I repent and do my best to follow him and his teachings, I can return to live with my Heavenly Father after I am finished with this life. I also know that I can be with my wife, children, and extended family and friends forever. I believe that God loves us enough to give us ongoing revelation and instruction in addition to what he has already given us in the Bible. I believe that we have a prophet on earth today just like Noah, Abraham, Moses, and other prophets in the Old Testament. I know that we are here, on this earth, for many reasons. To get a body, to gain experience, to be tested, are among these reasons. I believe God loves all his children and wants the best for them.

How I live my faith

My responsibility in my local congregation is to work with the 12-13 year old boys. I am lucky enough to have my oldest son as one of them. I am an assistant Scout master. We have weekly activities on Wednesday nights as well as Monthly campouts and hikes. I am also involved with teaching a weekly lesson to them during Sunday services. We often do service projects that benefit local people and the community. They keep me on my toes and extra energy is a requirement.
