Hi I'm David

I'm a police officer, father and husband. I grew up in Utah. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I work as a detective investigating crimes against children which involves all forms of abuse. When I'm not working, I spend almost all of my time with my three beautiful daughters and my bride of 23 years. I enjoy riding Harley Davidson motorcycles. I love all sports, but especially soccer.

Why I am a Mormon

I feel fortunate to have been born into the church. My father baptized me when I was eight years old. My parents were active members as well as my grandparents on both sides. When I was 19 years old, my sweet mother was relentless about telling me how I needed to go on a mission. Even though I wasn't sold on the idea, I decided to serve the Lord for two years. During my time in the Missionary Training Center (MTC), I spent a lot of time on my knees asking my Heavenly Father about the truthfulness of the gospel and especially the Book of Mormon. By the time I left the MTC, I had recieved a very special and individualized witness of the truthfulness of the gospel and the role of Jesus Christ in my life. The Holy Ghost also told me the Book of Mormon was indeed true. After serving for two years as a missionary and dedicating that time to The Lord, my personal testimony of the gospel grew and made me realize I need to share that knowlege with others. I also realized through personal revelation that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is His church. That's why I'm Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have spent my adult life serving in the church. Some of my favorite "jobs" in the church have included teaching the gospel to the children. Children have such sweet spirits and I think they actually teach me more than I teach them. I enjoy visiting with members of the church in their homes and sharing a small piece of gospel truth each month. It is also great to be of service to others. I enjoy helping people in many different ways. It seems families are always moving in and out of our neighborhood and I enjoy helping them pack or unpack their personal items.
