Hi I'm Sonya

I am a wife, and a mom. My husband and I built our own house. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I met my husband online and 6 months later we were married. I wouldn't want it anyother way. I stay at home with our children so that I can be there for them if and when they need me. I love to cook for my family and bake for my friends. I love trying new recipes. I love going out to eat and trying new foods. I love learning new skills that help me to be independant. My husband and I just finished buiding our 1st house. It took 10 months and was the greatest thing we've ever done. Watching the walls to your home go up, because you built them is an indiscribable feeling. Discovering that you are strong enough to pour concrete in 2 degree weather is something amazing.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a "Mormon" my whole life. I was raised to respect and accept all religions. I was raised to learn all I can about other cultures and belief systems. I choose to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because it provides stability. It provides the comfort of family. I believe that Jesus is the perfect example of how we should live our lives. We should live to help others, regardless of their religion, or way of life. I believe families are forever and that marriage and family connections are not lost at death but continue into eternity.

How I live my faith

My husband and I teach the 10 yr olds in our church and love it. We love helping them understand and learn more about the gospel and it's principles. We love spending time with our children and helping them make progress in big and little events in life. Family is a huge part of our life and we live for them.

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

It is important to me to be available at all times for my family. My husband does all he can to make sure that I can stay home with our children. I do all I can for my kids and he does all he can to support me and help out. I want my kids to be raised in a home where they know that we will do all we can to provide the things that they need. Our life is not filled with fancy or expensive things. But our home is filled with laughter, love and our kids do not want for the things they need. Show more Show less
