Hi I'm Sandy Green

I grew up in So. Calif. I work in the public school system in Washington state. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love working as a secretary in an elementary. The kids are spontaneous, funny and smart. There's never a dull moment. My husband and I love to travel. We'll travel to see our kids. We love to go on cruises with our friends. With cruising you can see many different countries and still have your hotel room with you. We also like to RV camp. I call it parking, because you have all the conviences of home with you. I occassionally like to scrapbook. I like to do the digital scrapbooking, it's a little easier on the pocketbook I'm not as creative as some people are.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I've visited other churches to see what the differences are, every Christian church has the basic idea of the gospel. I feel our teachings of the gospel goes further. Some dwell on the crusifixtion, we study more on the Atonement. I'm always in awe that Christ would willingly give up his life for me even agonize over it. I feel like I don't deserve that pure love. But everyone is entitled to it, he wanted to save mankind. I like the feeling and knowledge that we exsisted before we were born and that we chose to gain a body and be part of God's plan.

How I live my faith

Everyone has a job or a calling the church. I run the library once or twice a month. I also call those women to see if they have visited the other women and how they are doing. Then I report to someone else. I also do "Visiting". Once a month we visit women on our list to see how things are going in their personal lives and if there is anything we can do for them; like help them move, bring in food, babysit if the occasion arises or just to talk when they are feeling lonesome. We also give them a message to share from the gospel. I also live my faith by being honest with my co-workers, friends, neighbors and family. I work hard at my job and try not to complain, unless I feel something is unjust. I also try to help anyone who may need my help.
