Hi I'm Ray

I'm a Mormon. I served a full time mission in Korea. I was married in the Idaho Falls Temple. My wife and I have five children.

About Me

Born of goodly parents, and the oldest of five children. Two brothers and two sisters.  Served my mission in the country of South Korea. Married in the Idaho Falls Temple, to Barbara. Barbara and I have five children; two sons and three daughters. Served as the Bishop of the Riverside Ward. Have been a Scout Master, Wood Badge trained and on Wood Badge staff. Recipient of the Silver Beaver award. Hunter Education Chief instructor and active in many outdoor hobbies. Enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Supervisor at work for a unit of 19 men and women.

Why I am a Mormon

It began with my parents. They joined the church when I was five years old. The church has provided many good and spiritual experiences in my life. I have met and known many loving, caring and kind individuals. I find myself around people who share common values and goals. I understand why I am on this earth, where I lived before I came to this earth and where I will go after this earthly life ends. In the church this is called the Plan of Salvation.

How I live my faith

I have served in many groups and leadership positions in the church. One of the most difficult and yet rewarding was as the Bishop of my Ward. I had the pleasure of officiating at over 20 weddings and honor of officiating at over 20 funerals. For the most part, these were people I had grown to know, love and respect. I am currently a Temple worker and enjoy spending most of one day a week working in the Temple for the benifit of the living and the dead.
