Hi I'm Ben

I'm a law grad, a husband, a father, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in 4 states and two countries, and my family and I just moved to Utah from Pennsylvania after I graduated law school. I grew up playing baseball and basketball and competed as a biathlete (cross country skiing and marksmanship). My wife, Kate, and I are expecting our first child.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ is my savior, and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is His church on earth. As a freshman in college, experiencing a new found freedom and a lot more independence, I contemplated which direction I wanted to take my life in. As I prayed and searched the scriptures, I received a confirmation through the Holy Ghost that the Book of Mormon is the word of God - the words of ancient prophets, translated by a modern prophet. My testimony of the Church started as simple as that, and through the years since then, I have slowly come to know my Savior better and better as I study, serve, and listen to the "still, small voice" of the Spirit.

How I live my faith

I teach Sunday school for 16-17 year-olds and have served as an assistant scout master during the week. I make an effort to be a positive influence in work and in the community, through example, service, and kindness. I pray and try to read the scriptures daily. I also participates in service projects through the Church. This last summer, over 300 volunteers from the local church spent a day rendering service in an underprivileged neighborhood.
