Hi I'm Arne

I grew up in Seattle. I am a husband and father of 4 children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have four children, ages range from 4 to 17. Keeping up with homework, school sports, scouting, school music concerts, home maintenance & improvement projects, church activities and go on a date with my wife once a week take up most of my time. We occasionally go on hikes and camping trips. On top of this, I also work as a mechanical engineer for an aerospace company.

Why I am a Mormon

My great-grandfather joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints after he came to the United States from Sweden. This faith has been passed down since then in my family. As I grew up in the church, I learned from the scriptures, both The Bible and The Book of Mormon, of our Heavenly Father's Plan of Salvation for us. Jesus Christ is at the center of that plan which makes it possible for us to return to our Heavenly Father. The Holy Spirit has testified of the truth of these things to me.

How I live my faith

At church each week, I have the opportunity to take the sacrament to renew the promises made when I was baptized. Every Monday we have Family Home Evening, where as a family we get together and share "announcements" of what each of us has done this past week, then a family member teaches a gospel lesson and finish with an activity with dessert. Most evenings our family reads a few verses of scriptures together and have a family prayer.
