Hi I'm Tiffany

I'm a child of God. I'm a wife and mother. I'm a cancer survivor. And, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Eastern Utah, the oldest of 11 kids, in an active LDS family. Now, my husband of 14 years and I have 3 children together. I enjoy running, sushi, playing the piano, music, decorating and redecorating my home, chocolate chip cookies, and trying to grow a garden (I'm getting better with each try!). I love to bargain shop, and garage sale! How I love a good deal! I also love to read. I have climbed high mountains in my life, including (but not limited to) a bout with cancer during my third pregnancy. That particular experience taught me that even though so many things are out of our control, the one thing I CAN control is my attitude and my testimony. There is quote that says, "It is not what happens to us that is important. It is what we DO with what happens to us." I'm so grateful for the strength my trials have given me. My trials have increased my faith and strengthened my relationship with my Father in Heaven. It is by faith, miracles are wrought (Moroni 7:37). Not only miracles of a physical nature, but the miracle that is a mighty change of heart. Through our trials, God is making us into the best possible versions of ourselves. I'm not there yet. But, I know He is there with me every step.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I have taken the time to find out for myself if it's teachings are truth. I have read the Book of Mormon and have taken the challenge issued in Moroni 9:3 "And when we shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost." I have received a strong personal witness that these things are true. It brings me such peace to know who I am, why I'm here on this earth, and where I am going after this life is over. How much easier life is when we can look at things from an eternal perspective! I am a Mormon and am blessed to be able to serve in this church, and to contribute my talents and time without monetary reward. All get a chance to serve in a variety of capacities in our church!! The rewards of service in His kingdom are priceless, and are of an eternal nature. I'm a member because nothing means more to me than my family, and we believe we have the opportunity to be with them forever, not just until this life ends. We believe that family is the most sacred organization on this earth.

How I live my faith

Hearing my children pray for each other, and speaking to their Father in Heaven are treasured moments. We pray together morning and night, and also at meal time. We talk about gospel principles and learn together about the life of Christ. This helps all of us keep an eternal perspective througout our day. I also work with the youth of our church, helping them to see themselves as God sees them, as literal children of God. I consider it a great privilage and blessing to be surrounded by such strong and valiant sons and daughters of God twice a week. We have weekly activities as well as Sunday instruction. Sunday's are set aside as the Lord's day. We believe we have six other days to do with what we choose, and surely it's not too much to ask to give the Lord 1 day. We set our minds upon things of a religious nature, and strive to keep the Sabbath a holy day. I strive to continue learning on a daily basis, keeping my testimony well fed. I fall short constantly, and there are times I feel inadequate. But, I try to remember those feelings of fear do not come from God: 1 John 4:18 "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love." I truly love this gospel and it's teachings. I feel extremely blessed to be a member.
