Hi I'm Becky

I am an athletic trainer and massage therapist. I love working with athletes and making a difference. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am single woman who is working towards a master's degree in Athletic Training. I currently work as an athletic trainer and massage therapist with high school and college athletes, and I love it! Helping people with their injuries gives me such a feeling of pride, knowing that together, we were able to overcome that obstacle. I love going to the movies, or just watching them at home--as long as I have popcorn! I come from a family of six kids, two of which died as babies. We are a very close family, and we have always been busy people. But we have always supported each other in everything we do. I love my family!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon and I have prayed about it, and I felt the Spirit testify to me that it was true. I am a Mormon because in the deepest part of my soul, I feel peace and comfort. I am a Mormon because everything makes sense here. I am a Mormon because I know that families can be together forever. We lost two of my brothers as babies, but they are still a part of our family, and will be forever. We are an eternal family, even though they are not here with us now. We will see them again, and they will always be my brothers. I am a Mormon because I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. I have felt closer to Him here than I have anywhere else. I love my Heavenly Father, and I am eternally grateful to Him for blessing me with the gift of His gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day in trying to be the very best that I can be. Praying each morning and every night has helped me to draw closer to my Heavenly Father, and makes it easier to be the person that I know he wants me to be. I try to treat every single person I meet as a son or daughter of God, and to see them the way Jesus would. We are all brothers and sisters, and I believe that it is important to treat each other as such. I also have the wonderful opportunity to teach some of the women in our church every month, focusing on various gospel topics and themes, and I find I learn so much more from them than I could ever teach. I love the opportunity this gives me to search the scriptures and to grow closer to my Savior. Living my faith is an act of faith in itself, knowing and believing and hoping that in doing so, I will be blessed and will be able to serve others more effectively BECAUSE of my faith.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Becky
Absolutely, we love and revere the Bible as scripture and often read from it for the beauty and testimony of those that have come before. We view it as a testament of the divinity of Jesus Christ, the Savior and Redeemer of the world. Show more Show less

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Becky
We come to know our Father in Heaven through serving his children here on the earth, in fervent prayer to Him, in reading the scriptures He has provided for us, and in appreciating the beauty of the creations He has put on this earth for us. If we will believe in Him, we will find that He has always been there, waiting for us to come to Him. He is there and He will always listen. He knows and loves us. We are His children. What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Becky
Everything! A beautiful day, a specatcular view, the laughter of children, stirring music, a hug from my grandmother; I simply cannot believe that things like these happened by accident or chance. These are gifts from a loving God, our Father in Heaven, who loves us and wants nothing more than to bless us and help us along on our journey through mortality here on earth. Every blessing in our life reiterates to me that there is a God and He loves me. Show more Show less
