Hi I'm Caleb

I'm a junior in high school. I play on the varsity basketball team. I am tall. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

A little about me is, I love sports. I'll play any sport. The ones I like the most are basketball, golf, and tennis. I'm a junior in high school and the only guy who is a mormon in my whole junior class. I'm good at math, but don't care too much for English. I'm the youngest of five and love to hang out with my family. My favorite food is seafood. I like to watch movies. I want to play basketball for BYU. Because there are not many people around that have my standards, I'm not very social and I don't have many friends. Like most teenage boys I have been in a car accident that totaled my friend's car. I love exotic sports cars.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this religion and at first I went to this church because my family did. Later when I had become more mature I started to question if this was true. I can tell you now, that as I searched and prayed for the answer that this is where I was meant to be. It was testified to me. The standards of this church guide my life and keep me safe from the numerous moral dangers that surround me. When I see how some of my friends are searching for meaning in their lives, I am so grateful to have the knowledge of the restored gospel to give me purpose and meaning to my life. I know who I am and where I am going and that if I follow the guidelines given to me by the prophets and the scriptures, I will have eternal happiness. It is so comforting to have the true gospel to offer me safety in a wicked world.

How I live my faith

Church activities are a regular way of life for me. I go to church for three hours every Sunday. I am involved in the leadership of my church youth group. I go to an early morning religion class to study the scriptures every day at 7:00 a.m. before school. I carry with me a little pamphlet called "For Strength of the Youth". It contains guidelines that help me make decisions every day. Things like, what movies to watch, what clothes to wear, what language to use and how to date appropriately. I play basketball on my varsity basketball team at my high school. All my teammates know that I have high standards and they respect them. Sometimes they ask me questions and I can share with them why I don't participate in certain activities or say certain things. Sometimes I feel lonely because I don't have many friends. Because I don't go to parties or do immoral activities, I am not considered a fun person to hang out with. Luckily I have my older brothers and sisters that have set a good example for me and are my best friends. I like to hang out with my dad playing sports and visiting members of our ward, giving them service.
