Hi I'm Joy

I'm a Mormon. I am married with 5 beautiful daughters and was born and raised in the Church.

About Me

I am a mother of 5 girls. I love to spend time with my girls (my husband is currently in another State) and I like to write stories and have a book published that I co-wrote with my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church and have always had the testimony and desire to come to Church each Sunday. I would not be the person I am if I did not have the Gospel in my life. I would not want to imagine my life without it. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only true Church on this Earth. I am so grateful for my Heavenly Father and for His son, and for their unconditional, neverending love they have for me and am especially thankful for the atoning sacrifice they made on my behalf. I am grateful to know that I lived with Them once and have always chosen to follow Them and can live with Them again because of the atonement and being able to repent of my sins and partake of the Sacrament each Sunday. I know that Jesus lives, that He loves us all and that He will never forsake us. I am so grateful for the power of prayer and that I can always turn to our Heavenly Father in my time of need. I know that Joseph Smith was a true Prophet called of God to restore Their true Gospel on this Earth. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the true, living Prophet today who leads and guides our Church by the power of God. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that we can get guidance and direction through it's teachings. I say these things in the name of my beloved Savior, Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

Besides praying, reading my Scriptures, and going to Church each Sunday, I also Visit Teach..that means I go to the home of my assigned sisters and visit with them and share with them the Visiting Teaching message from our Church magazine for adults called the Ensign that we get monthly, or I send them a note or call them at least once a month and see how they are doing and try my best to make sure their needs are met so they know that they are cared about and loved. I try to be an example for others. I love going to Church each Sunday and the spirit I feel there. I love reading my Scriptures and try to read a Church magazine or other Church literature everyday with a prayer to grow closer to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I am striving each day to be a good example to my children so they can grow to be the type of women that Heavenly Father would have them be, the kind of example that others look up to.
