Hi I'm Shawn

I'm homeschooled, I love to read, I play the violin, I'm a missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am Elder Wells, I love to play the Violin, read the Book of Mormon and The Bible, play on my computer, and mow the lawn, I also love waching action movies. I am searving a mission in the Salt Lake City West Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a mormon, but I always had a choice to participate in church or not. I love the principles taught at the LDS church, the gospel makes sense. I know that this church is true, that the Book of Mormon is true, and that the promises made in the scriptures are all true, and have been, are being, or will be revealed

How I live my faith

I live my faith by helping people draw closer to Jesus Christ by helping them receive the restored Gospel. I love the spirit I am able to feel as I teach people and I love all of the people I am able to teach.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

Shawn
We believe that to take care of our bodies that god has given us, we should be mindful of what we put into our bodies. This means We should be careful of what we eat and drink. It also means that we believe that Tobacco, Alcohol, coffee, tea, and illegal drugs violate our bodies. Another part of this commandment that we don't often think about is that we need to eat healthy. We need to eat a lot of fruits and veggies and not a ton of junk food (yeah, we all have a lot to work on). God tells us that when he follows this or any commandment that he will bless us. In this case he promises that we will be healthy, that we will "run and not be weary and walk and not faint." The Word of Wisdom is not just a rule or a guideline we have to follow, we do it because we believe that it is a commandment from God and that if we do it, we will be immensely blessed.
