Hi I'm Bartley

I grew up in southwest Virginia. I'm a husband and father of four. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I consider myself to be a pretty normal guy. My wife and I have been married for 14 years and we have 3 beautiful girls and another baby on the way (probably another girl at this rate). I was born and raised in a small town in southwest Virginia and I currently live with my family in Arizona. For employment, I am currently an Assistant Professor at a University where I teach clinical medicine to graduate health professions students. I am also completing the final year of a doctoral degree. In my limited spare time, I enjoy exercising, reading, watching movies, spending time with my family and being outdoors (when it's not too hot). I am also a big football and basketball fan.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I am a Christian. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the place where I can find the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ in its entirety. Also found in this church is the priesthood authority by which my family can receive the saving ordinances of the gospel of Jesus Christ such as baptism.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by praying daily alone and with my family and reading scriptures daily that testify of Jesus Christ. I also attend church meetings weekly and try to conduct myself in accordance with the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am most grateful to my Savior Jesus Christ for His atoning sacrifice which makes it possible for me to repent regularly of my many shortcomings.
