Hi I'm Jared

I love my family and sports, especially golf, football & baseball. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of four, two daughters and two sons. I am also a proud grandfather of two. Out oldest (daughter) has one son (3 1/2) and one daughter (2). Our Heavenly Father and Saviour's gospel provides comfort and clarity of purpose to my family's lives. It teaches us we have the opportunity to live together for eternity as a family unit if we live our lives righteously by following our Lord's commandments. I am a patriot and love the United States. I am a proud veteran having served in the US Air Force as a Airborne Cryptologic Linguist. I am also a college graduate and now enjoy working for a Fortune 500 company. I enjoy technology and learning more about what it allows us to accomplish. I enjoy watching and participating in sports. My favorite sports to watch are football and baseball. My favorite sport to participate in is golf. I am an advid movie buff, but avoid those with lots of swear words and/or nudity. I also love to read espionage and mystery novels. I also enjoy spending time at church learning more about the gospel and how I can improve myself. But most of all, I enjoy spending time with my wife and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have a testimony of our Heavenly Father's gospel that I cannot deny. Obeying the Lord's commandments will provides more clarity and brings more happiness to me and my family's lives. We are far from perfect and have our own personal issues to overcome like anyone else, but we have been given a clear path by following the teachings of the Lord's gospel. The Spirit of the Lord has born witness to me the Book of Mormon is true. If you have a sincere desire to know for yourself, not relying of what other people say, and go to our Heavenly Father in humble prayer, you can also find out if the gospel is true.

How I live my faith

One way I enjoy living the gospel is by helping others at church. I am currently involved in the Scouting program and enjoy helping the boys discover themselves through working on merit badges, setting goals and working to achieve them, and also doing a variety of service projects that helps many more people in our local communities. Another way I live the gospel is by serving others in our community, whether it is something simple like helping a neighbor move, or going to a local park and help clean up trash or plant trees.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Families are central to our Heavenly Father and Saviour's Plan of Happiness. Although our testimonies are personal and individual, we have also been taught by Jesus to love our neighbor, especially our family members, so that we may live together in our Heavenly Father's presence. Family life is where we first learn how to interact with others in our society. It isn't always easy but we learn by working together we can accomplish great things. Show more Show less
