Hi I'm Bob.

I'm just retired and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

After 32 years in the aerospace industry I recently retired. Prior to that I spent 6 years in the United States Air Force. The vast majority of my professional career involved helping others to improve their skills and knowledge. I managed an organization which taught people how to design, test, and build space craft. Twenty-one years of my career was spent working on the Space Shuttle project. I enjoy and find satisfaction in creating things with my hands. My projects have included building and remodeling homes, designing and building furniture for my granddaughters, and other home projects such as landscaping. I love the outdoors and so I have been involved in a variety of activities. These include bicycling, motorcycle riding, hiking, off-roading, and in the winter skiing and snowmobiling. One of my greatest pleasures in these activities is to share them with my wife. We enjoy the beauty of this world that our Father in Heaven has created for us.

Why I am a Mormon

Both of my parents were born into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They were a fine example of living a worthy life. This example and their joy through righteous living and the serving of others instilled in me a desire to live in the same manner. As I reached my teen years it became clear to me that I needed to know for myself of the truths that had been taught to me by my parents and others in the Church. After many hours of prayer a sweet but firm spirit rested upon me and provided me assurance of the truths that I had been taught. Oftentimes as I lived the principles this spirit has revisited me confirming those initial feelings. I have had the opportunity to provide service in the Church throughout my adult life. While in this service I have again had the Spirit witness to me of the eternal truths taught by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am grateful for my knowledge that God lives, that Jesus is the Christ, and that that they love and watch over each one of us.

How I live my faith

I have had the opportunity to serve in a wide variety of callings at church, primarily working with the youth. I enjoy seeing the youth of the church grow and mature and become active, productive members of society and the church. More recently I have been teaching one of the adult men's classes. The teachings of the church correlate with being honest in business. Because of my strong faith it is easy for me to honest in my business dealings. Most all of my work associates know of my religious practices and I believe because of that knowledge we were able to have positive relationships built on trust and honesty.
