Hi I'm Chris

I am a husband, father, student, die hard Toronto Maple Leafs fan and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As with most men, I married "up". My wife is a wonderful woman whom I treasure. I am a very proud father of 2 princesses. Before, you ask, yes they have me wrapped around their fingers. I am currently completeing my degree online. I love my job becuase everyday is a challange. My most favorite activity is hockey-Watching, playing, or coaching. Over the last few years, I have not spent as much time on the ice as I would have liked to. There is something soothing to my soul as my skate blade cuts through the ice.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church after a long spiritual search. I tried several types of Christian churches. During my journey, I met some wonderful people. However, the teachings of these churches did not seem complete. I resigned myself to my boyhood religion, I choose to make the best of it. I promised God that I would put forth an honest effort to grow closer to Him. The day I met my wife, I knew I was going to marry her. I did not tell her that when I met her, I thought it best. We dated over a great distance, which included an international boundry. Of course, she told me she was Mormon. I had no clue what that meant. I had met LDS Missionaries on the street before but did not accept their invitations. During our courtship, I decided to learn more about her religion. I informed her that I was never going to convert. Famous last words. As I learned more about Mormons, I met with the Missionaries. As they spoke at our first appointment, I knew I would join the LDS church. The reason being was their knowledge and love of the Savior. The more I learned, my love for Heavenly Father and Jesus grew. I was certain I had found what I had been looking for. Jesus is our savior. As a sinner, I draw great comfort knowing that Jesus has paid for my sins. My share is to be faithful and obey our Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

Since joining the Church, I have had the pleasure of serving others. I have been involved in youth programs, organized ward activities, and served individual families. I feel I have recieved more than my fair share of blessings.
