Hi I'm Brooke

I grew up in the United States. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to travel and have lived in Jerusalem and New Zealand. While I was there, I did service and humanitarian aid work.I also learned to surf and scuba dive on my travels. I have studied Interior Design and Landscaping as a college student and love to create beautiful environments around me. I love to go boating, skiing, dancing, and spend time with my family and friends. Music is one of passions and I love to sing. I find great joy in working with children and youth and teaching them. I am so excited to have my own family one day and be an effective mother and wife.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. I grew up going to church, but I wanted to know for myself if this was the true church. When I was 7 and about to be baptized, I wanted to make sure I was joining the right church. I was so concerned about this and it weighed on my mind heavily. I then decided to get baptized because all the people I loved and trusted in my life told me it was right. After I was baptized, I then felt the power of the Holy Ghost confirm to me that this was the true church. From that moment on I have always known that Heavenly Father lives and He loves me. As I continue to live the gospel and it's teachings, I continue to feel the spirit and know that this is right. There is the greatest joy and peace that comes from living the commandments. No matter what condition or state the world is in, I can have peace through Jesus Christ. He is my Savior and Redeemer. He suffered and died for all of mankind, so that we can return to live with our Heavenly Father one day. The power of the Atonement is real and I feel it's enabling power everyday of my life. Whenever I have a hard time with work or with my family or friends, the Atonement is there to comfort, console, and heal my heart from any burden or heartache I have gone through. I know that if I get married in the temple and stay on the path of righteousness, I can be with my family forever, even after this life. I know that as I read the Book of Mormon, I come to know and understand God and my relationship with Him. God speaks to me through the scriptures and I can find answers to any of my life's questions by reading the Book of Mormon. There is an incredible power that comes into your life when you study that book. I would encourage every person to read the Book of Mormon and ask God for themselves if it is true. You will receive an answer. I know this because I did receive an answer. It is true, with all my heart I testify that is is true.

How I live my faith

I go to church every week and I teach lessons about principles of the gospel like: reading your scriptures or keeping the Sabbath day Holy. I go and visit some of the girls that are in my area of the church and I teach them and befriend them. I go to institute class each week where I learn about the scriptures and how I can receive revelation in my own life. I spend time doing a variety of service projects with members of the church and my friends. I share my testimony with others and strive to serve others as Jesus Christ did.

Who is the Mormon prophet today?

Brooke
The Mormon prophet today is President Thomas S. Monson. He is an incredibly wonderful man. He is a man of God and he receives revelation from God to tell us what we need to do to find happiness is this life. He has two counselors President Henry B. Eyring and President Dieter F. Uctdorf. They make up the First Presidency of the Church. It is much like Peter, James, and John in the New Testament after Jesus Christ died. I have met him and I know that he is a true prophet of God.
