Hi I'm Jeanette.

I'm a busy mom of nine wonderful children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to my wonderful husband for nearly 19 years. We have 9 beautiful children ranging in ages from 17 - 6 months; 5 boys and 4 girls. Our 4 year old has type 1 diabetes. I love being with my family. I love watching my children participate in their various activities... football, volleyball, marimba band, tennis, math is cool, scouting, band, choir, dance, etc. They bring me the greastest joy! I enjoy sewing and crafting , although I don't find much time for things of that nature very much right now. I play the piano and still even play my flute some. I love family reunions and vacations with my kids, but enjoy the precious time when we are all home together as well.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I feel that I've been blessed to always have had a testimony and I've never really doubted. But I've found that as I've gone through trials in my life my faith has been strengthened and my testimony has grown. There have been times when I've had the thought of "Why me?" As I've prayed for help I have felt the immense love of my Heavenly Father. Most recently as we have started our journey as parents of a diabetic child we have needed and felt our Heavenly Father's love. We have been able to find hidden blessings in our struggle. It's a challenge each hour of each day to keep a diabetic child healthy. We constantly seek strength and inspiration from our Father in Heaven. I know that He is there and that He knows me and loves me. I know that my Savior lives and that through Him and His sacrifice for me I can return to live with Him. I know that our Heavenly Father has a plan for each of us. Things do not happen by chance. Our families can be forever; life does continue after death. I want to be with my family forever! Nothing means more to me than my family. I choose to follow my Savior and His gospel because it gives me direction as I try to teach and lead my children through this life in a world of turmoil, trial and temptation. For me the gospel of Jesus Christ provides security and safety and helps me provide a foundation of love , truth and moral principles for my family.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in every aspect of my life. I serve where and when I can, mostly within my own family, but I try to find or make other opportunities also. I am currently a teacher in the youth program at church. I love teaching these 12 and 13 year olds and helping them to understand who they are and to see the path that will lead them to true happiness. I believe in and have served for many years in the cub scouting program as well. I also try to teach the principles of the gospel in my home. Honesty, kindness, love, hard work, service, getting along with those around us and the importance of keeping high moral standards are just a few. We strive to let our children know how much they are loved each day and to help them understand that they are sons and daughters of God. Raising a large family comes with many challenges, but I am so very grateful for the knowlege and faith I am blessed with that gives me direction and hope.
