Hi I'm Noah

I'm a tuba player. I'm a wrestler. I love video games. And i'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my family and friends and hanging out with them. I do just about everything with them. I love playing video games (especially kingdom hearts), playing the sousaphone and tuba for my schools marching band, and listening to music. Im a wrestler despite my lack of height (im only 5' 1''). I love my science and math classes in school. I especially love reading the book of mormon and going to church every sunday.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and have been raised in the mormon church. I choose to be a mormon because I have seen how this church has blessed me and my families lives. Once, my brother, my mom and I were on vacation when we got a call from my dad who was at home that we needed to get home as quikly as possible. We packed up as quikly as we could and headed home. When we got home, my dad was laying on the couch because he could not move his legs berely at all. We got him into the car and went to the walk in clinic, told them what was wrong with my dad, and they told us to get to the ER. My dad stayed in the ER for a couple of days while they were trying to fiure out what was wrong with him. They couldn't figure anything out so they took him to the hospital via ambulance. After many tests and a couple of MRI's, they told us my dad had a very rear disease called encephelomyalitis, which is inflammation in the brain and the spinal cord. After that, the doctors said that if my dad worked as hard as he could in physical therapy that my dad still might not b able to walk ever again, and that if he ever walked again, it would be about 2 years. Apperently those doctors weren't very good at making estimates because 2 months after he was let out of the hospital, he RAN a 5k. It took him about 35 minutes, but it was a miracle. I believe this all happened because of all of the blessings he was give as well as all the prayers that my family and i said. My dad still has a little bit of numbness in his feet, but he loves to run and play sports.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the mormon standards. I go to church every sunday and also participate in a youth activity every tuesday night called mutual. I follow what our church leaders ask us to do and I also choose to follow all the guidelines given to us in a book we read called the Book of Mormon.

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Noah
Our body is a precious gift from God, so we want to take care of it as much as we possibly can. As stated in what we call the Word of Wisdom, we aren't supposed to eat or drink of anything that could be considered addictive or harmful to our bodies. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Noah
There is a strong tradition of missionary service in the church, and it has also been commanded of us as men in the church to go on missions. The women in the church don'n have to go on missions, but they are welcome to and the choice is up to them. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Noah
We understand that the bible has been translated many times over the years, and it would be impossible for that translation to go through withought there being some sections of the bible being left out. We believe the bible to be the word of god, as long as it is translated correctly. Show more Show less
