Hi I'm Nic Rolfe

I grew up in Salem Utah, and moved to Kentucky for Dental School. I now live in Surprise Arizona. I am the father of 5 children.

About Me

I Am a husband and father of 5 children. Professionally I own a family dental practice and dentistry is a passion of mine. I enjoy learning new procedures and improving my skills. It is great to go to work each day doing something I love. I have always loved athletics and the outdoors. I enjoy riding my dirt bike, scuba diving, cammping and waterskiing. I especially enjoy doing these activities with my wife and kids. Each of my children is special to me however my fourth child Ryan is autistic and has special challenges. Life as a parent of a special needs child can sometimes be challenging. He is extra special to us because of his challenge and we love him dearly.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family and grew up an active member. I served as an LDS missionary in Ecuador from 1991-1993. The gospel of Jesus Christ gives me hope in the present. Especially when facing challenges like having a autistic child. Even though all of our challenges are not taken away from us I feel Christ by my side as I work through hard times. The gospel of Jesus Christ gives me faith in the future and the future of may family both here during our life and hope in the afterlife. It is the basis of many things I do in my family and the focus of most of the goals I have. I believe the gospel of Jesus Christ is here on earth today that he has restored his church to the earth and that he has called a prophet in our day. I believe Christ knows each of us personally better than we know ourselves and I am thankful for is atoning sacrifice and the hope it offers me.

How I live my faith

While I am most certainly not perfect I do honestly strive to be better each day. I think that I am able to live my faith when I teach my children about Christ and help them develop a personal relationship with him. Living a Christ-like life also means being the best husband I can be to my wife and placing her needs before my own. One of the best parts of the gospel is the family and the role it plays. I really find joy in my children. I feel that I am able to get a glimpse of how my heavenly father feels about his children when I am with my kids. I find the gospel offers a pathway to follow and a beacon to return to when things seem hard. Attending church and socializing with other members helps me find strength. I really am thankful for the gospel of Jesus Christ

Can you tell me about Mormon customs: how you dress for church, what holidays you celebrate, etc.?

Nic Rolfe
We dress for sunday church service in a very traditional manner. Men normally wear a white shirt and tie. Many will wear a buisness suit or sport coat. Women will wear nice clothing that would include a modest dress or a skirt and blouse.--------------------We celebrate all of the normal holidays that take place in a whatever country we live in. We place special emphasis on Christian religous holidays like Christmas and Easter. Our holiday traditions are similar to those of other christian faiths. Show more Show less
