Hi I'm Tyna

I work two part-time jobs. I am hearing impaired. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As a young wife, I found I had fertility problems and had to take fertility drugs with each of my children. Now, I am a mother of 3, and a Nawni to my 2 granddaughters. We all live together in my home. I work two part-time jobs also, so I get very little sleep. I enjoy making crafts of all kinds, reading, and decorating and re-decorating my house. I have worn hearing aids for the past 12 years. My life is very full and gets crazy, but I would not have it any other way.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon church, but as a young child and teen, I often found myself going to church alone. I loved the feelings that I felt at church. I knew that I was a daughter of God and I could do anything with His help. The things I learned from going to church felt so true and right, that there was no denying where I wanted to be when I was old enough to be on my own, marry, and raise my own family. Life has definitely not been a picnic, but the blessings of the gospel in my life have far outweighed the hardships I have had in my life. I know that our Heavenly Father loves each of us and that we are here to help each other through life. Life is not just meant to be endured, but to be enjoyed.

How I live my faith

I serve my family, friends, neighbors when they need a pair of helping hands. I write uplifting letters to the women in my immediate church "family" that are serving as missionaries for our church. I help plan activities for the women to learn things like budgeting, cooking with certain foods, or having a crafting day.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

I have not ever partaken of illegal drugs, coffee, tea, alcohol, or tobacco in my life. I believe that part of the reason I can survive on as little sleep as I do, is because of the blessings of keeping the Word of Wisdom...especially the one, "And shall run and not be weary, and shall walk and not faint."
