Hi I'm Chad

I'm a father of five from Texas. I work in marketing and design. I love to golf. I'm a Christian, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Growing up I was the shy guy in high school that didn't date and barely said a word to his parents. Now I'm married to a beautiful wife, we have five kids, and I teach early-morning seminary. I guess a person only needs so much quiet time and rest! Each of my kids helps me live up to my potential and makes me who I am today. But my greatest accomplishment is marrying my wife and gaining wisdom and experience together.

Why I am a Mormon

I can't imagine living too long without a knowledge of the purpose of life and where I came from. Material possessions only provide fleeting joy and satisfaction. As I read the Bible and Book of Mormon together, all of my questions are answered and I see the full gospel in action. But the scriptures teach that the power and authority to baptize and act in God's name will leave the earth for a time. I know this authority was restored to Joseph Smith and today we have a living prophet that is preparing us for Christ's return to earth. The great stories of faith and miracles from both the Bible and Book of Mormon inspire me and guide my life today. Without each standing as a witness of Christ, I wouldn't see the priesthood link from Adam to present day.

How I live my faith

I believe a society is only as good as its parents. We learn from the experiences and traditions of our fathers as God is unchanging. So I try to be a good father and pass on truth. I'm also learning how to share my Christian beliefs in all aspects of life. The world is only the way it is because we've let down our guard and have chose to be silent. If you don't like something, rise up and change it!

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

Not studying the lives of Abraham, Moses, Joshua, and other OT prophets would give you an incomplete knowledge of God. These men were among Heavenly Father's greatest leaders and all three spoke to the Lord. Their lives and teachings have a huge impact on the doctrines and beliefs of the LDS Church today.
