Hi I'm Lori

I grew up in Fullerton, CA. I sell good books. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to a good man for 18 years and have two teenage girls. I work at a bookstore. I love to read, paint, decorate, study history/art, and sing. My favorite thing though is just being a "Mom". I homeschooled my children for the first few years of my children's lives. I love serving the community and just making people smile. I love to laugh.

Why I am a Mormon

Both of my parents converted to the gospel when they were in their early 20's. They married and then a year later, I was born and raised in the church. So I never had a lot of questions as a child about God. I learned great things at church about myself, who I was, where I came from, and where I was to go one day if I lived right. Once I turned 18, I decided that I wanted to know for myself whether the church was true and not just rely on the good feeling I had at church. I wanted God to tell me. So I decided to do as the Prophet and the Savior said. I started to read my scriptures and devote as much time as I could to prayer. The answers came quickly. I really developed a relationship with my Father in Heaven. I realized how much He truly loves me. He loves me no matter what kind of a person I am! I kept studying, and realized that He kept sending me answers regularly. Finally I asked him...Is this the true church? Is this the right place to be? Is this right for all? Suddenly one day, the answer came. In prayer, I felt a warmth that burned in my chest and then went throughout my body. It felt good and I felt great joy. The words, "Yes, its true", ran through my mind over and over. It was as if the words floated on ripples of water floating towards me, full of warmth and love. I felt God's great love and started to cry. A cry of joy. I knew this was the answer I needed. I knew that I could never forget that feeling or the confirmation to my heart that this was right. I can never deny it happened. It filled me with such joy. There's not a person on earth that can take that from me or make me believe otherwise. I know He lives, I know He cares, and I know this is right and good. So now I raise my children to ask God for themselves, if this is right. I ask my friends to ask God too. I ask YOU to ask him. I KNOW He will tell you because He told me. I KNOW He loves you too. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I am a teacher at church of teenage girls ages 14-15. It is wonderful hearing their testimonies and watching them rely on their Heavenly Father. I am so blessed to have them in my life and be around their sweet examples as followers of Christ. I love participating in community events and especially serving the women in my immediate community. I get to visit 3 women regularly who were strangers to me in the beginning and try to serve their needs whenever it is necessary. I have brought over meals, cleaned homes, been a listening ear and shared lessons of Christ's example. I now enjoy their friendship.
